Our client is a major global banking group active in all the world's financial centres and offers the complete array of Investment and Corporate Banking products to its global corporate and institutional client base. Now because of increased market share in the Australian Market, they are looking to recruit an experienced credit officer (Assistant Director/Director Level) to join its high profile credit team.

Reporting to the Head of FIG Credit for Australasia based in Sydney the role will have direct responsibility for the credit analysis of deals emanating from a portfolio of clients including banks, brokers, insurance companies, government and sovereign counterparties and fund managers. Product coverage includes equities, fixed income, FX and structured transactions so a sound understanding of all or some of these areas gained within a similar institution would be advantageous. The role will particularly appeal to those individuals who enjoy working closely with business units to understand their requirements so that a creative credit solution can be found to accommodate the business within the current risk environment of the bank.

Candidate Specification:

* Tertiary educated;

* Strong credit skills, wide experience of bank and NBFI analysis, with a high level of attention to detail;

* 4/5 years' plus work experience with a major Investment Bank or leading Trading bank;

* Sound knowledge of derivative products;

* Excellent communication skills and good judgment with an ability to express views clearly and effectively. 

* Have the requisite visa to work in Australia
