Our client is a major global banking group active in all the world's financial centres and offers the complete array of Banking products to its global corporate and institutional client base.
Now because of increased level of activity in their Markets Division, they are looking to recruit an experienced Markets Credit Officer (Director Level) to lead this high profile Credit Risk team.
Reporting to the CRO Institutional Banking the role will be based in Australia and will have direct responsibility for the credit analysis of deals emanating from a portfolio of clients including banks, brokers, insurance companies, government and sovereign counterparties and fund managers. Product coverage includes a broad range of traded and structured transactions so a sound understanding of all or some of these areas gained within a similar institution would be advantageous.
The role will particularly appeal to those individuals who enjoy working closely with business units to understand their requirements so that a creative credit solution can be found to accommodate the business within the current risk environment of the bank. Candidate Specification: · Tertiary educated;
· Strong credit skills, wide experience of bank and NBFI analysis, with a high level of attention to detail;
· Extensive work experience with a major Investment Bank or leading Trading bank;
· Sound knowledge of traded products;
· Excellent communication skills and good judgment with an ability to express views clearly and effectively.
· Have the requisite visa to work in Australia
